Non Stop Nanny at ESA Vienna Conference: Our ESA story

This June, Non Stop Nanny Babysitting had the incredible opportunity to take part in the European Space Agency’s (ESA) week-long conference in Vienna. While scientists, researchers, and professionals from across Europe gathered at the Austria Center for presentations, exhibitions, and discussions, we were there with a mission of our own: to provide a safe, joyful, and engaging space for their children.
Over the course of seven days, more than 60 children spent time with our team. Some stayed with us for a few hours while their parents attended keynote lectures, others joined us daily, creating a lively and ever-changing group full of energy, curiosity, and laughter. For us, it was not just childcare – it was an experience of building trust with families, creating memories for the children, and supporting the success of a world-class event.
Where Science Meets Playtime
The Austria Center, buzzing with the hum of scientific exchange, had its own parallel rhythm inside our childcare space. We set up welcoming corners filled with games, books, arts and crafts, and interactive activities. Children painted, built towers, played group games, and shared stories with one another – forming friendships that sometimes crossed language barriers in ways only children can.
To spark curiosity and make learning about space even more engaging, we incorporated Paxi tales into the daily schedule. These short, interactive space adventures gave children a playful introduction to scientific concepts, complementing the hands-on activities and reinforcing their understanding of planets, stars, and beyond.
For the younger ones, we focused on nurturing routines: nap spaces, quiet reading time, and gentle play. For the older children, we encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and creative projects. Each day carried its own theme and sense of discovery, so no two mornings or afternoons felt the same.
Parents Focus, Kids Have Fun
For many of the families attending ESA, this conference was a key professional opportunity. Knowing their children were cared for allowed parents to fully engage with their work – to present, network, and explore exhibitions without worry. Several parents shared how much it meant to them to have a reliable, professional childcare team on site.
As one parent put it: “I was able to give my talk with a clear mind, because I knew my son was not only safe, but actually enjoying himself. He begged me to go back the next day!”
Feedback like this reaffirms why Non Stop Nanny Babysitting exists. We bridge the gap between professional life and family needs, creating a smoother, more enjoyable experience for both parents and children at international events as well.
A Week to Remember
By the end of the week, our childcare space had become more than a room – it was a community. Children waved goodbye to their new friends, parents thanked our team warmly, and we felt the deep satisfaction of a job well done.
It truly was a fantastic week in Vienna, filled with laughter, imagination, and connection. We are proud to have supported the ESA conference and grateful to the organizers for trusting Non Stop Nanny Babysitting with such an important role.
What’s Next? More Adventures Ahead
Our experience in Vienna highlights the growing need for high-quality, professional childcare at international conferences and corporate events. As more organizations recognize the value of inclusivity and family-friendliness, we look forward to being part of many more weeks like this – where children thrive, parents focus, and events succeed.
Until then, we carry the memories of Vienna with us: smiling faces, countless creative moments, and the joy of knowing we made a difference.
